Roma sports chief Daniele Prade held a round of contract talks with the agents of Daniele de Rossi yesterday.

"I've been working all day for an agreement, which I hope will be found as soon as possible, hopefully to avoid passing the summer with the situation still pending," said Prade.

"There is the will of De Rossi to continue. Daniele believes in the project, is a thoroughbred Romanista who we want to meet contractually. The agreement is close, the player has virtually said yes, but we must still work on getting it all done in writing. De Rossi is the present and future of Roma."
