Roma chief Bruno Conti has warned Manchester City and Real Madrid off midfielder Daniele De Rossi.

"This week we have not received any formal request for Daniele from Manchester City. These are all allegations without foundation," director Conti told the Corriere dello Sport.

"There was concrete interest from Real Madrid in recent months, but you know how that went, despite the fact we have maintained an excellent rapport with the Spanish club.

"We are not even considering the possibility of parting with De Rossi, as he is part of our plans."
