AS Roma are chasing Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.

Handanovic has just over a year to run on his current deal and no closer to agreeing new terms.

The goalkeeper has a new contract offer on the table, but is so far refusing to settle on terms.

Roma are in contact, says Calciomercat.com, and hope to keep Handanovic in Italy next season.

They see the Inter No1 as a successor for Morgan de Sanctis, 37.

Roma have also been linked with Chelsea keeper Petr Cech.
