AS Roma are eyeing Sporting Gijon defender Alberto Botia.

Roma boss Luis Enrique worked with Botia as Barcelona B coach and wants to sign him in January.

Barca, however, are also eager to re-sign Botia - but at the end of the season - and have a buy-back clause in the player's deal meaning they can land him for €2.5 million.
