Roma captain Francesco Totti admits he's been hurt over doubts from fans about signing his new contract.
Totti's contract talks have dragged on for much of the year and he is still to put pen to paper.
In his column for Corriere dello Sport, Totti wrote: "Recently I have heard that many things have been said about my contract situation. I am referring to the arguments in Roman 'high society', during which people discuss the opportunity or apparent lack of opportunity in giving a certain kind of contract to me.
"I am not going to name names, but I can imagine that they are always the same people; those who come to me asking for photos, gadgets, signed shirts and soon after continue to bitch about me.
"I believe that I have demonstrated on the pitch down the years what I represent as a player."
