Roma captain Francesco Totti says he was mistaken to kick out at Mario Balotelli during the Coppa Italia final. Totti was sent off in the defeat after a horrific swipe at Inter Milan striker Balotelli.

"It's true, I made a mistake," confessed Totti the day after the incident.

"But the really ugly thing is that after I scored a great goal at Parma last week, everyone called me up for congratulations.

"Three days later and you're left on your own with the old friends you've had forever."

Roma director Gian Paolo Montali has stated Totti will not be fined for the action.
