Daniele de Rossi's future is set to be decided by a board decision at AS Roma.

Roma's new board are to come together to decide how high they should go to keep De Rossi in Italy.

Manchester City have left their €9 million-a-year contract offer on the table for De Rossi to mull over as his deal winds down. He can commit himself to a pre-contract with City from January 1.

Only last month, Mancini said: "If De Rossi becomes available one day, Manchester City will try to sign [him], just like Real Madrid, Chelsea and all the other big clubs.

"He's a superb player and one of the few who would be able to blend in a top team. He's a complete midfielder with a lot of quality and experience."
