AS Roma 1-3 Basel: Swiss champs stun Roma

Reigning Swiss Super League champions FC Basel have stunned Italian outfit AS Roma 3-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The visitors took a 12th minute lead through Alexander Frei before Roma hit back through Marco Borriello nine minutes later.

But the equaliser did the damage for Claudio Ranieri's men as Samuel Inkoom swept his side in front just before the break ahead of Cabral's 90th minute finish to round up proceedings.

The result, Basel's first win in the competition, saw the Swiss club climb to third place, level on three points with Cluj and Roma after three games played.
