Chicago Fire have re-signed forward Chris Rolfe.
The 30-year old was set to go into the MLS Re-Entry Draft but the Fire have decided to keep him on board for at least another season.
"We're pleased to have signed Chris to a new contract," said Fire head coach and director of soccer Frank Yallop in a statement.
"He's a dangerous attacking threat and provides a steady, veteran presence in the locker room. We're glad he will remain a part of the club."
Rolfe kicked off his career with the Fire in 2005 before heading to Danish club Aalborg in 2010 prior to returning in 2012. In two stints with the Fire he has scored 48 goals and provided 22 assists in 176 appearances.
