Rodgers role at Liverpool under no threat

Brendan Rodgers has held talks with the Liverpool hierarchy on Tuesday.

The Northern Irishman spoke with chairman Tom Werner and director Mike Gordon for around three hours at Liverpool's head offices to review their disappointing 2014/15 Premier League campaign.

Despite the Reds falling from second place to sixth last term, the talks were reportedly positive and in no way is Rodgers' job under threat according to Sky Sports.

There has been no official comment made regarding the meeting but it has been suggested that the Merseyside club were ironing out the kinks ahead of the 2015/16 campaign and planning their transfer strategy for this summer.
