Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers fears FIFA could wreck their survival chances.
Rodgers was yesterday finally given the green light by Fifa to rubber-stamp 27-year-old defender Federico Bessone's return to the Liberty Stadium from Leeds.
But the Swans boss is still sweating on international clearance for two defenders - £250,000 Lens signing Darnel Situ, 19, and Fulham loan man Rafik Halliche, 25.
And Rodgers is clearly worried, saying: "The signings should not be any problem with the Premier League - but there is something with Fifa over whether the deadline was missed.
"It would obviously leave us in a very vulnerable position if things didn't go through."
