Rock legend Robert Plant: Wolves were going well and then ...

Rock legend Robert Plant says he's happy with Wolves' start to the season.

The Led Zeppelin lead singer admits, though, being disappointed with the derby reverse to Aston Villa.

Plant told Absolute Radio: "Well it was a good start, but it's not so good now. I mean, that might sound a little bit Wolverhampton, bit Black Country, but in truth we did have a good start, we had two draws and a win and we were happening, and the last two games I've been to, at White Hart Lane we were winning for 75 minutes, and even though we were relying on Marcus Hahnemann a lot at the back we were still taking the game to Spurs and I think we played really well.

"Mistakes, you know, little bit of an error, Stephen Ward, very seldom you get that kind of situation transpire, and the game turned. Amazing how quiet White Hart Lane was for 75 minutes and then suddenly the Tourettes kicked in, you know, and such is life."

On the derby defeat, Plant adds: "And then Sunday against Villa, I mean, they're chock-a-block with great players, you know, they've had several seasons on the top six, seven or eight, but now six.

"Yeah, they played, they controlled the game in the first half here, the big lad done well. You know, I can't believe I'm becoming Malcolm Alison without the hat. Second half we had all the game, you know, but Heskey, who hasn't been on great form recently, he had a game of a lifetime really."
