Arjen Robben was delighted to get on the scoresheet for Real Madrid in last night's stunning 7-0 thumping of Valladolid.

Robben was played on the right-side of midfield by Real coach Bernd Schuster and responded with an impressive display to dispel any doubts about his fitness.

"I'm very happy, for this result is wonderful. In addition, I have achieved my first goal in the Liga and that is why I am happy, but what I am even more proud of is completing ninety minutes, it makes me especially happy," said the Dutchman.

"I dedicate my goal to my wife, because today is her birthday. We've had some difficult moments together and this goal is for her.

"I feel very good, the knee has been perfect for weeks, and I had some muscle problems which are now forgotten. I feel strong and I want to keep this pace and above all this desire."
