Rob Lainton happy to stick with Bolton

Rob Lainton is happy to stay with Bolton Wanderers.

Lainton joined the club aged 14 after being spotted playing Sunday League football and was given his first professional contract by Gary Megson.

He signed a new deal under Owen Coyle which will keep him at the Reebok until 2013, and while this year has been practically a write-off, the young stopper is glad to be back on track.

He told the Bolton News: "It was a great start to the season. I was third choice because Ali Al-Habsi had gone and I was ready to push on and challenge Jussi and Adam. Hopefully, I can again now I'm back, although Jay (Lynch) is also in the frame now. We have four good keepers, so it isn't going to be easy."
