River Plate president Rodolfo D'Onofrio says Real Madrid have an option for goalkeeper Augusto Batalla.

D'Onofrio had previously claimed the young shot-stopper would join Real this summer. But he now admits nothing has been formally signed.

"He's a very good player that Madrid has seen play," said the River supremo.

"They made ??an offer of a loan with an option - that is not signed. But the player is keen on it."

D'Onofrio added: "There is a major purchase option through to June 2016."
