Recent reports suggest that Argentine club River Plate are planning a return for New York Red Bulls striker Juan Pablo Angel.

The Colombian star has been linked with a return to the Argentine Primera Division club he served so well from 1998 until 2000 but Angel insists he has heard nothing from River.

"My gratefulness and my affection for River will be eternal; it is a very important club for me. But I do not know anything on the matter, I only listened to rumors and it does not seem correct to speak to me if there is nothing in particular," he told Argentina's Ole.
