River Plate vice-president Omar Solassi has confirmed their interest in AS Roma midfielder David Pizarro.

The Chile international has returned to Roma after helping Manchester City win the Premier League title last season.

Pizarro is expected to be on the move again and Solassi said: "We will do everything to bring David Pizarro here. We have a problem with the number of foreigners, but to get such a player we would make every effort."
