Frank Rijkaard is being linked with former AC Milan teammate Carlo Ancelotti's job at Chelsea.
The Sunday Express says Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has his sights set on Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola if the fragile relationship with Ancelotti eventually shatters.
Chelsea won't be able to make any move for the Spaniard, 39, until the summer when his contract comes to an end.
Right now Guardiola is preparing for tomorrow night's El Clasico against Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid but has expressed an interest in managing in the Premier League in future years.
Also on Abramovich's radar is Guardiola's predecessor at Barcelona, Frank Rijkaard, who is currently out of work after leaving Galatasaray.
