Former Aston Villa defender Liam Ridgewell is ready to lead Birmingham City in this weekend's derby.

"I was captain [at St Andrew's] against them," he said. "It would be fantastic to do it at Villa Park. I don't know what reception I'll get from the Holte End. We will have to wait and see.

"Confidence is high. Their confidence will be high, but we've got to go there and give our all. It will be a good day and a good challenge. They've gone to Derby [last weekend] and won 6-0, which is a good result for them, but we are looking to ourselves. They might be on a confidence boost, but we will go there and give them a good ride."
