West Bromwich Albion defender Liam Ridgewell believes Nicolas Anelka's arrival will help manager Steve Clarke in the transfer market.

Anelka signed for the Baggies last week.

Ridgewell told the Express & Star: "It's a massive positive for us. Potential signings will have looked and taken note.

"Players will want to play with players like Nicolas. His name and reputation as a player says it all."
