Former Denmark U17 coach Glen Riddersholm has blasted local critics of Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Many Danish pundits have questioned Eriksen's place in the national team squad this week, given his lack of minutes with United.
But Riddersholm told Bold: "In Denmark, we are generally not very good at paying tribute to our best players. That there can even be a discussion about Christian Eriksen is completely incomprehensible to me.
"He is the top of these generations, he is the ultimate in his generation. It hurts me a little that you can even discuss his name for a final round.
"Then we think as a nation that we are more skilled than we are. I have to emphasize that."
