Jose Antonio Reyes thanked Atletico Madrid fans for their support after his goal scoring performance in yesterday's 4-0 thrashing of Racing Santander.

Reyes scored one and also created Sergio Aguero's effort and the former Real Madrid attacker said afterwards: "I have already said that my objective was to change the whistles from the fans into applause and it seems that I have achieved it. The applause was sincere and I thank them for it."

Atletico fans still booed for parts of the win and Reyes added: "That's football. The fans want to enjoy themselves all the time. Even at 3-0, people were whistling."
