Zdenek Zeman spoke with AS Roma fans yesterday following his sacking.
The veteran coach's conversation was recorded by some supporters on their mobile phones.
"August was a very different time. You had nothing to do with it. They told me I'd been fired on Saturday."
The supporters asked if the situation was beyond repair and Zeman shook his head to mean no.
"There are other situations, other worries. We could've done better."
Asked if he would now retire and stop working as a Coach, Zeman smirked: "They'd have to shoot me first."
Finally, the ultras asked if any of the players had called him.
"Some."
