West Ham United burned off competition from a raft of clubs to sign Patrice Evra, it has been revealed.
A free agent after being sacked by Marseille before Christmas, the France fullback signed for the Irons earlier this month.
France Football says Evra wasn't short of offers, with Bursaspor coach Paul Le Guen pushing hard to convince him about a move to Turkey.
Proposals from Sevilla, Galatasaray, Antalyaspor and China also arrived.
But Evra chose West Ham, with the presence of his former Manchester United boss David Moyes a key factor.
