Chelsea failed with a huge offer for PSG defender Marquinhos last summer.

While Marquinhos has confirmed Chelsea made an attempt for him, the size of the bid hasn't been disclosed until now.

L'Equipe says Chelsea offered €85m to convince PSG to sell the Brazil international.

However, Marquinhos was informed at the time that he wasn't for sale and the attempt went no further.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is close to Marquinhos, having made him captain at PSG when coach in Paris.
