REVEALED: Real Madrid president Florentino could've signed Mbappe - if he'd sold Bale to Jose's Man Utd

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez could've signed PSG star Kylian Mbappe four years ago, it has been revealed.

AS says Real could've signed Mbappe from AS Monaco with the money Manchester United were offering to take Gareth Bale back to the Premier League.

In the preseason of 2017, United and Real Madrid were in the USA and then manager Jose Mourinho famously was caught on mic telling Bale: "If you don't talk, I can't buy you."

Then later in Skopje for the Super Cup between the two clubs, Mourinho confirmed: "If Bale were at the starting gate, I would wait for him on the other side. But if he plays it is a sign that his plans are to continue in Madrid."

It's claimed if Florentino had sold Bale to United, then he would've had the cash to beat PSG to the signing of Mbappe.

Instead, the Real president kept hold of the Welshman and allowed Mbappe to move to PSG for a fee of €180m.
