French sources insist PSG are not a serious contender for PSV Eindhoven star Memphis Depay.

PSV chief Marcel Brands claimed last week that it was PSG and Liverpool which were leading the race for Depay's signing ahead of Manchester United.

However, L'Equipe says PSG are not serious contenders for Depay.

It's suggested the Dutchman is not the big name PSG are seeking and instead Brands is using the French club to up his asking price.

Depay is said to have held talks with Liverpool last month.
