Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has made a personal attempt to bring Dimitri Payet back to England.

Le 10 Sport says Bielsa made a direct call to Olympique Marseille ace Payet about a move to Elland Road.

The pair worked together at OM for the 2014/15 season before Bielsa's departure.

However, in the end, Payet decided to remain with OM for the new season, despite his admiration for Bielsa.

The midfielder has previous Premier League experience with West Ham United.
