Hull City boss Steve Bruce is prepared to work with the existing staff at Newcastle United.

The Journal says were United to turn to Bruce the ex-Manchester United captain would not bring his Hull backroom team to St James' Park.

And it is thought that Bruce would be happy to work with the likes of Steve Stone and John Carver.

Bruce needs no introduction to the duo after years of rubbing shoulders with them on the football circuit.

Interestingly, Steve Agnew left his assistant's role at Hull last week for Middlesbrough.
