Arsenal are moving for free agent Mario Yepes. Colombian media sources say Arsene Wenger is set to offer the 38-year-old a short term deal as he looks to find cover for the Gunners' defence.
The Frenchman failed in his attempts to recruit Daniel Agger and Kostas Manolas during the summer, after Thomas Vermaelen was allowed to join Barcelona.
Yepes is keen to test himself in the Premier League after coming off contract with Atalanta at the end of last season.
Before last term, the defender has spent three years with AC Milan.
