REVEALED: Arsenal, Barcelona in talks to ferry Asensio away from Real Madrid

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is eager to move for Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio.

The Spain international is off contract at the end of the season and has been linked with major clubs across Europe.

Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito, declared: "The coach of the team that is leading the Premier wants to sign a player who is free on July 1.

"That player is from Real Madrid. There are several that are free. It's Marco Asensio. Arsenal would be the team in which he would have the best chance of playing continuously, more than in Real Madrid or Barcelona.

"Barça has made him an offer, but he has a difficult gap, just like (Dani) Ceballos. What they want to do is get Ansu Fati out and take Asensio there. Barça wants to get Ansu Fati out for the losses of 200 million. Asensio is already negotiating with Real Madrid and we will see what happens. He is not a starter, he is a player number 12 or 13."
