Rennes defender Sega Coulibaly is hoping to return to his best next season.

Before suffering a serious knee injury at the beginning of the campaign, Coulibaly was being watched by Tottenham, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.

He told Foot Mercato: "For the coming season, I hope to have a full season, find my best level, sign a professional contract, and why not end in the France team?

"I'm good at anticipating, reading the game, duels, and physical qualities.

"In my position, I look much to Vincent Kompany, I like John Terry, but Thiago Silva is the best."
