Released Wolves midfielder Joao Moutinho is returning to Portugal.

O Jogo says the midfielder had his medical exams carried out last Friday.

With medical tests completed, Moutinho is a step away from officially joining FC Porto for season 2023/24.

The presentation of the former Wolves midfielder, who has been a free agent since June 30, was scheduled for Monday, but O Jogo says it was postponed for a more opportune moment.

Moutinho, 36, spent three years with Porto before leaving for AS Monaco.
