Manchester City are set to rule out a return to PSV Eindhoven for Karim Rekik next season.

The Holland defender has shone this season on-loan with the Dutch giants.

But Rekik admits City want him to spend time in a better competition.

"Manchester City has a plan to loan me in a different league," Rekik told De Telegraaf. "It's too early to think about the chance to go with PSV into the Champions League.

"I'll now just enjoy the moment and we will see what happens next season."
