Edy Reja has resigned as Lazio coach and been quickly replaced by Stefano Pioli.

Pioli will be presented to the media on Friday, as he completed a meeting with President Claudio Lotito this evening.

Pioli was sacked as Coach of Bologna this season and the club was eventually relegated.

It was also reported that Massimiliano Allegri was offered the job first, but the ex-Milan manager turned it down.
