New England Revolution's number one goalkeeper Matt Reis has signed a new deal with the club.
The 36-year old has been the Revs' first choice basically since arriving in 2003 and will now continue his tenure at the Gillette Stadium although details of the deal have not been revealed.
"Matt has been one of our leaders, on and off the field, since coming to New England, and we're pleased he will remain with us," Revs general manager Michael Burns said in a statement.
"With him re-signing with us, we can continue to look toward his leadership and experience as we move into 2012."
The Revs finished bottom on the MLS table in 2011 and subsequently parted ways with decade-long coach Steve Nicol, bringing in former players Jay Heaps as his replacement.
