Reina admits Liverpool regret; reveals management plans

Pepe Reina admits losing the 2007 Champions League final with Liverpool still burns.

Reina, 39, is now on the books at Lazio.

In an interview with Marca, Reina was made aware of the fact he had played for three of the four sides with the most Champions League titles, to which responded: "I am proud, but if you ask me...I would change all that for having won a Champions League.

"Without a doubt, it is what I have been missing, a thorn since we lost the final with Liverpool in 2007."

Reina also says he harbours aspirations of one day becoming a manager, explaining: "I want to be a coach. I'm going to prepare for it and I'm going to try to do things well and be one of the best.

"I have been lucky to have good teachers and I think I can help in that facet.

"Every time I am thinking more as a coach than as a player. I am passionate about tactics," Reina continued. "I am more and more curious to know why things are done; deciphering a match; trying to keep the details that are being worked on during the week; knowing and being able to transfer what the coach wants in the field and thus be of more help."
