Redknapp wary allowing too many Spurs fringe players to leave

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is wary of shaking up his squad in January.

Redknapp will not jeopardise his club's chances by allowing all his unsettled fringe players to leave in January.

Jermain Defoe, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Vedran Corluka, Niko Kranjcar and Sebastien Bassong are among those who fear a lack of first-team action is damaging their international ambitions.

Redknapp said: "The lads want to play with the Euros coming up. But we've got to protect our own situation."
