Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has urged his players to wrap up qualification from Champions League Group A with a game to spare when they host Werder Bremen on Wednesday night. Redknapp believes it is vital his side ensure next month's final group game at FC Twente is a dead rubber amid what is a difficult and hectic run of Barclays Premier League fixtures.
Redknapp said: "It's a big week. It's a big week because the Champions League game is a massive game for us.
"That group is still wide open. We need results; we need a result on Wednesday.
"You don't want to be going into the last game away to Twente needing to win the game to get through the group.
"We need to put it to bed if we can on Wednesday at home.
"We go to Birmingham, Liverpool coming up. Big games coming up."
After this month's victory over Inter, Spurs find themselves on top of the group, level on seven points with the holders.
But Redknapp said: "They're not a bad side, they're dangerous opposition and we need to put that one to bed if we can, get through the group.
"It is a tough group and to get out of it would be a good achievement."
