Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has hailed the impact of Scott Parker at the club after victory over QPR.

His performance had Redknapp drawing comparisons with a Spurs great.

"It was an amazing performance," Redknapp told the Spurs website. "I've not seen too many performances like that, it was a complete, all-round performance.

"You hate to mention anyone in the same breath as Dave Mackay, who was probably one of the finest players to play at this club, if not the finest, but Dave would have been proud of that performance.

"Scott was magnificent. He won every tackle, never gave the ball away, broke things up - a great all-round display.

"He's a great lad as well, a fantastic person. You build good football clubs around people like him."
