Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp enjoyed winding up his No2 Tony Adams after their 7-4 victory over Reading.
The Pompey manager was once a winger, reared at West Ham under Ron Greenwood, where entertainment came first and success did not always follow.
Adams, of course, was the defensive kingpin in George Graham's Arsenal, who wore a clean sheet like a badge of honour.
Redknapp said: "I turned round to Tony on the bench and told him I could remember watching Real Madrid winning 7-3 against Eintracht Frankfurt at Hampden Park in the European Cup in 1960.
"Wow, what a team: Gento, Di Stefano, Puskas...Sean Davis, Muntari."
