Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has paid tribute to the way Manchester United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson encourages young coaches.
In his match programme notes for yesterday's 0-0 draw, Redknapp wrote: "What people do not realise about Alex is that there is no other manager in the country that gives up more of his time to young managers; he is always there for everybody. If there is a young manager who wants to call him up then he is always accessible. He is a major player within the League Manager's Association and a great ambassador for us all.
"I have come up against Alex so many times over the years and I always look forward to seeing him. He is a great football man, who can tell you everything that is happening in every division. He is a lover of the game. I think we both have that in common and that is why he has lasted as long as he has."
