Redknapp delivers angry speech to whip Tottenham into shape

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp revealed how he delivered an angry half-time speech to kick his players into gear when 1-0 down against Burnley in the Carling Cup semi-final on Tuesday night.

The Spurs came back and eventually won the match 4-1 after goals from Michael Dawson, Jamie O'Hara, Roman Pavlyuchenko and an own-goal from Michael Duff but not before Redknapp used some harsh words.

"At half-time you could not see that result coming, that was for sure, and nor could I. At half-time I had to get in to them big time and sort a few of them out really," he told Sky Sports..

"(In the second half) we were a different team. We have got to play like that all the time. We can't play like we did in the first half.

"We squeezed up second half, got in contact with them and put them under pressure."
