Real Madrid players are being accused by Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp of deliberately targeting Peter Crouch for a red card in Spurs 4-0 Champions League defeat. Crouch was sent off for two yellow card offences after only 15 minutes at the Bernabeu Stadium.
The England striker first upended Sergio Ramos before a late sliding tackle sent Marcelo flying in the air and a resulting second yellow.
Redknapp was not impressed by the way that Real defender Pepe pressurised the referee Felix Brych to send the striker off, and with the play-acting which he feels followed both tackles.
"They made a meal of it. They made sure they got him sent off," Redknapp told talkSPORT.
