RECORD DEAL: Man City set to splash the cash on Juventus ace Pogba

Manchester City are set to make Paul Pogba the highest paid player in the club's history.

The Daily Mail suggests that City will offer the Juventus midfielder more than the £220,000-a-week that Yaya Toure currently earns.

City are believed to be putting together a lucrative £70million package for France international Pogba, 22, as they look to revitalise their squad in the summer.

It has been suggested that the likes of Toure and Samir Nasri, along with a handful of others, will be sold to help fund the pursuit of Pogba who only left neighbours Manchester United for Juve in 2012.

Pogba has been constantly linked with a Bianconeri departure this summer but it remains to be seen who will be the lucky club to win his services if his exit does happen to occur.
