Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is ready to leave this summer for Barcelona, it has been claimed.
The Sunday Times says the Dutchman has already agreed a pre-contract deal to become the first signing of Joan Laporta's second spell as president.
The player's current contract expires in the summer so it would be a free transfer.
Midfield reinforcements are a priority for Ronald Koeman with the club having hand their hands tied in last summer's window due to financial issues.
The move is also seen as a vote of confidence in Koeman, whose side are finding form after a difficult first half of the season.
However, Catalan sources have stated Barca have gone cold on Wijnaldum thanks to the emergence of Ilaix Moriba and Pedri under Koeman's guidance this season.
