Real Zaragoza defender Roberto Ayala has welcomed interest from River Plate.

River want to bring Ayala back to Argentina for next season and are planning a January move.

However, the 36 year-old former Argentina captain said: "It would be nice to play for River. The interest exists, we will see what will happen in the coming days.

"In any case, I have a contract with Zaragoza until June."
