Real Zaragoza's Pennant wants to remain with Stoke

Stoke City loanee Jermaine Pennant hopes he can sign a permanent deal with the club.

The 27-year old winger is on loan from Spanish club Real Zaragoza until the end of the year but wants to make his Britannia Stadium stay more than just a temporary one.

"The lads are a great set of lads. The manager has given me a platform, he's been great with me. The fans have been fantastic," he told Sky Sports News.

"I don't think I could have asked for a better reception. They treat me like I've already signed and I've been a player here for two years.

"The club in general is a fantastic place to be. I'm enjoying it here. I'm enjoying my football. Putting pen-to-paper would be ideal for me."
