Stuttgart defender Khalid Boulahrouz is in the sights of struggling Real Zaragoza.

The experienced Holland international is seen by Zaragoza as a readymade replacement for Roberto Ayala, who wants to return to Argentina this month.

Former Chelsea defender Boulahrouz had an ill-fated spell with Sevilla in Spain two years ago, but has since revived his career in Germany with Stuttgart.
