Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay concedes they're an outsider in the race for Burnley striker Danny Ings.
Ings, off contract at the end of this month, visited San Sebastian earlier this year to discuss a Bosman move.
But Aperribay concedes: "We have monitored him since the winter transfer market.
"But we have not spoken to Ings's entourage for almost a month now.
"I don't think he's an easy candidate to arrive to La Real. He has a lot of offers from England and we will have to wait to see what he decides."
Liverpool and Tottenham are also interested in the England U21 striker.
